THE GARDEN FLAT is a really unusual apartment with some stunning features including a fabulously spacious kitchen cum living area with modern units and more than enough space for a large farmhouse table and more. Recently the apartment as been completely refurbished in quite a contemporary style .By quite contemporary we mean it still has retained the period features but has enhanced them with modern additions which complement the overall design.The sitting room has a period fireplace but stripped back to the natural wood with a matt black cast iron insert. The original decorative cornice preserved wherever possible. The original floorboards have been sanded and sealed and in other rooms neutral ceramic tiles have been laid. The walls throughout are painted white making the whole apartment feel light and bright. Viewing this apartment is a must as you can’t appreciate the interior till you see for yourself. The main reception rooms are almost open plan slightly asymmetric in shape making it look interesting yet still practical to use.
Gas central heating is fitted throughout as well as double glazed windows. The modern conservatory giving yet further reception space. IN SUMMARY , we loved the styling on this apartment, it felt different to the usual refurbishments we see, it wasn’t cramped, the rooms felt light and airy and would ideally suit either a first time buyer as the price is low for the space available. Or indeed someone downsizing but needing that extra bedroom for family stopovers. In recent years Cinderford is gradually upgrading as youngsters look with fresh eyes at the value for money and convenience and the locals couldn’t be more friendly.
