Marigolds is an attractive and surprisingly  large village bungalow. The creamy coloured, well maintained frontage gives a really good presentation and anyone could be proud to call it home. To the front are lawned areas with some established trees and shrubs but the gravelled drive still allows space for possibly 4/5 cars. The wooden picket fence and gate just adding that little extra finesse.
I personally live in the same village and have watched this young couple extend, renovate and redecorate what was a very tatty bungalow into a really stylish and spacious home for themselves and their family. Now it has four excellent  bedrooms as well as a study area plus another attic space that could easily be used for hobbies or perhaps a work from home office.  

Throughout the bungalow the décor is welcoming with a modern contemporary feel, halogen inset spotlights and laminate flooring fitted in most areas. Extensive double glazing
The large and light Sitting Room is a particularly spacious room with plenty of space for a large dining table and chairs. The attractive fireplace really gives the room focus and with large picture windows the room is a particularly pleasant family sized space.

LLANGROVE VILLAGE
is now quite a large village with a mix of housing types from old stone cottages to modern executive  homes. Working as an agent for some years it does seem to be quite sought after . Probably because it  is off the beaten track but very accessible to the local market towns and the A40 . Ross-on –Wye perhaps 15 minutes away and Monmouth slightly less (by car). My family has lived here for 20 years or so and we have always found it to be a real community. Lots of events go on at the school and the village hall from  fetes in the summer with Monmouth Town Band playing . Flower festivals in the pretty Norman Church. The annual Flower Show is  hosted by the Gardening Club and competitors show everything from veg , flower arranging to home baking . WI ,Yoga and Line dancing and Playschool all seem to take their turn to use the village hall. There is a village pub serving meals and beer. the Primary School has recently been modernized and whilst I am not sure of the numbers it seems very well attended.
Personally I can heartily recommend it to any newcomer.


WHITCHURCH VILLAGE (NEXT VILLAGE )
is also a village with amenities, it has a shop and post office. There is a village pub The Crown which has quite a thriving restaurant. The village hall hosts all manner of events including furniture auctions, flower arranging classes etc. There is a Spa shop at the garage which opens quite long hours and even a café. There is another café at the other end of the village and also a furniture wholesaler.
For river trips and riverside pubs just a short distance into the river gorge @ Symonds Yat West and you have the whole tourist
gamut 
Ice creams, varied restaurants and all in a beautiful setting. Plus a beautiful riverside church.


ROSS-ON-WYE
has all the shopping you are likely to need including three supermarkets. All the extra things you associate with a tourist area are also available in and around the town i.e. gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants for all budgets. The river area below the ‘Prospect’ is a very pleasant place to spend time, particularly in the summer, watching the world go by at one of the riverside pubs, or perhaps the regatta from the boat house. There is a public swimming pool and a modern library. Markets are held on Thursdays in the centre of the town in the old market place.

MONMOUTH
itself is a thriving town with excellent shopping facilities including three supermarkets in the centre. There is a delightful period cinema which is undergoing a refurbishment programme. The excellent Leisure Centre with swimming pools, gymnasium etc. There is a wide range of eating and drinking venues from interesting coffee shops to French cuisine.

SCHOOLS
For so many parents good schooling is a major concern and Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye can offer it all, with excellent comprehensive schools with a wide 6th form syllabus and two highly reputed private schools, Haberdashers for Boys and Girls

MOTORWAY
 
The M50/ M5/M4 are all reasonably close giving good access to major cities i.e.  Birmingham, Bristol, Newport, Cardiff, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Hereford all within approx 1.5 hours drive away.

DIRECTIONS
From the A40 take the turn off to Whitchurch  and facing the Crown Hotel take the road to your left marked the Llangrove road . Continue up the hill for approx 1.5 miles entering the village of Llangrove. Marigolds can be found on the right hand side just before the Post Office and the School.
