Longwood is situated in a really attractive spot on the edge of the popular village of The Narth in the hills above Monmouth towards Chepstow  Set back in its grounds it has a very attractive frontage and the views to the front are particularly pleasant over  a sunny woodland glade.
The house itself was originally a large two bedroom bungalow. Some years ago a conventional staircase was fitted, rising from the front hallway and two extra bedrooms converted from the roof space. These rooms now offer quite   generous bedroom space particularly for children. We think it may even be possible to fit a shower room in the landing space if required.
The Sitting Room is a large room with an open fireplace which currently has a wood burner effect stove fitted. Large picture windows look out to the front garden and the whole room is light and bright.
There is a modern Kitchen with fashionable pale wood laminated units and plenty of space for all the work horses we all need ie dishwasher, tall and wide fridge freezer and still sufficient space for table and chairs.
The former garage has been converted into a Dining Room but is now used for the childrens playroom . It may be possible to convert this area into a small independent annexe. NB The storage situation from lack of garage solved by the addition of a large timber shed and further outbuildings in the rear garden.

There are two further rooms on the ground floor both currently used as bedrooms. One of these rooms fitted with French doors to a south facing conservatory overlooking  the rear garden. There is a ground floor bathroom with electric shower facilities over the bath.

IN SUMMARY
There are a lot of positives in this large bungalow. It offers a lot of space and a particularly large sitting room. With five ground floor rooms plus a conservatory  it may even be possible to provide an annexe for two generation families. Certainly the space can be used to suit any new owner.  The views, garden and location are great. The kitchen is very nicely fitted and tiled.  Longwood is currently a well ordered, warm and welcoming family home. Personally we think this could be a great buy for retirement or another family who want to live in a really attractive village in the Monmouthshire countryside.
