PETERSTOW GUIDE PRICE £249,750K
OFFERING EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY, THIS VERY PRETTY TRADITIONAL TIMBER FRAMED 3 BED DETACHED COTTAGE IN VERY NICE LOCATION WITH VERY ATTRACTIVE FLAT GARDENS, CLOSE TO THE VILLAGE GREEN IN PETERSTOW VILLAGE APPROX 3 MILES FROM ROSS-ON-WYE TOWN. NEAT AND TIDY INTERIOR BUT WITH SCOPE FOR IMPROVEMENT
![]() • BEAMED SITTING ROOM WITH GAS FIRE
Offering excellent value for money Lane End Cottage has a real chocolate box cottage exterior. Black and white timber frame (NOT LISTED) it is situated in the very popular and attractive village of Peterstow just a few miles from Ross-on-Wye town. This village has a pretty village green and a well stocked shop as well as a public house which serves meals. Regular buses run to Ross and Hereford city perhaps 12 or so miles away. Lane End is just a few moments from the village green in a very pleasant lane of residential properties. The cottage has been well maintained but perhaps a little over modernized in the 60s so the surprisingly large interior needs a bit of flair (in our opinion). Recently it has been used for rental and the kitchen/ dining room whilst very functional could be improved greatly, with a little investment this cottage would be truly delightful. However none of this is essential and anyone could happily live here till the budget allowed any improvements.
NB As a condition the vendor will replace the septic tank with new and move the fuel tanks to within the property boundary.
This is such a pretty cottage but it in our opinion whilst neat and maintained it does fall a bit flat on flair in the interior. Lots of potential though to make it so and would be a super buy for someone to add some value, either for themselves or to sell on. With two good bedrooms upstairs and shower room plus sufficient space downstairs to make the ground floor bedroom viable it offers very versatile accommodation and just needs a bit of WOW putting back. Do give us a call to book your viewing.
